Caroline Pringle, Families and Professionals Advisor (Child Enquiries)

There is a wealth of information to support families during this lockdown and we post links as and when they are made available to us. However, we felt it would be helpful to bring them all together in one place.

The UK nations have adopted their own national lockdown regulations, and have different guidance as follows:

· England

· Scotland

· Wales

· Northern Ireland

Below are easy read formats:

· England - Mencap’s easy read version

· Scotland - Scottish Commission for People with Learning Disabilities’ (SCLD) easy read rules

· Wales – Learning Disability Wales document

· Northern Ireland – Unfortunately, at this moment in time we have not been able to source an easy read version

Contact have provided advice on clinically extremely vulnerable individuals and shielding for all four Nations.

Learning Disability Today, have given some very useful information about covid-19 vaccines and priority groups along with details about the possibility of carers (paid and unpaid) being able to access the vaccine at the same time as the person they care for.

In addition, Contact have updated their questions and answers regarding the vaccine.
