Administrative & Communications Coordinator
Fantastic opportunity to work for a small, national charity, supporting people with Fragile X Syndrome: the most common inherited cause of learning disability.
Role and Responsibilities
Working for a charity to communicate with our community and supporters, as well as providing administrative support. Duties include:
Support for fundraisers: stewardship, administrative support.
Digital newsletter creation and distribution
Social media posting
Maintaining charity database: updating membership details.
Support with research mailings to members: identifying relevant members on membership database and distributing information about projects on behalf of researchers.
Office administrative support, including: stationery orders, collating and posting merchandise orders, record keeping, monitoring shared email inbox, answering the phone, invoice raising and tracking of payments.
Event support, including: booking/ticketing management, record keeping, responding to attendees’ enquiries
Essential: Strong organisational skills, IT skills and excellent written communication.
Desirable: experience with working with customer management databases; experience in fundraising.
20 hours per week (working hours flexible within Monday- Friday 9-5pm)
To work from Fragile X Society office, Great Dunmow (occasional travel for charity events)
25 days holiday (plus bank holidays) per year, pro rata
3 month probation period
