Thank you so much to everyone who applied to run the 2018 Virgin Money London Marathon for the Fragile X Society. As you may know, we were extremely fortunate to be offered a single charity Ballot place in the 2018 race and we are very grateful for the time and effort that was put into all the applications we received.
With only one place on offer, the choice was difficult but we are delighted to announce our chosen runner; Gillian McDonald from Peebles in Scotland.
Gillian has accepted our ballot place and has already begun to adapt her training to suit the immense challenge she faces on 22nd April 2018. Gillian is a seasoned runner but has never done a full marathon before so this is also going to be a great personal challenge.
