In this Research Update, Dr Kate Woodcock discusses the work of her research group which aims to understand syndrome specific factors underlying emotional outbursts in conditions including Fragile X Syndrome. In addition, Dr Woodcock discusses a new project which aims to test an intervention based upon this work, which aims to build resilience to changes to help children stay calm (https://www.katewoodcock.com/staycalm/).
