We were delighted to see the new Fragile X Hub at Leicester Royal Infirmary featured in a recent BBC News article.

The launch of this new hub is an exciting and important step forward for the Fragile X community, offering the opportunity for more joined-up care and specialist support for individuals and families affected by Fragile X syndrome.

Our Managing Director, Pete Richardson, and Families and Professional Advisor (Adults), Sue Ives, were pleased to attend the official launch on 30th September and see first-hand the work being done to improve care and support for families.

The BBC article shares the experiences of Chris and Alex, whose two sons have Fragile X syndrome, and highlights some of the challenges families face following a diagnosis. It also features Professor Julian Barwell, who is leading this important initiative.

We are really excited about the potential of this new hub and hope it will pave the way for similar services across the UK.

A special thank you to Chris and Alex for sharing their family's experiences so openly, and to Professor Julian Barwell for his dedication and hard work in making this new hub a reality. Their efforts are helping to raise awareness and improve understanding of Fragile X.

It's wonderful to see Fragile X receiving this coverage and highlighting the importance of specialist care and support.
