`1 Mile in a Month' - Swim Challenge

Throughout September 2025, Lewis is taking on an incredible personal challenge to raise awareness and funds for the Fragile X Society UK.
Lewis, who has Fragile X Syndrome, is swimming one full mile, that’s 64 lengths of a standard 25-metre pool alongside his carer, Greg. This is no small feat for Lewis, it's a big challenge in every sense, and his family and friends are incredibly proud of his courage and determination.
They will be completing the challenge bit by bit throughout the month, building up to the full mile.
For Lewis and his family, this challenge holds deep personal significance. It’s a way of giving back to the charity that has supported them and raising awareness of a condition that affects many families across the UK. His parents are incredibly proud of his determination and the Society is honoured to be the charity he’s chosen to support.
