Prudential Ride 100 2019

Celebrating the legacy for cycling created by the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 100 starts from 05:45 in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, then follows a 100-mile route on closed roads through the capital and into Surrey’s stunning countryside. With leg-testing climbs and a route made famous by the world’s best cyclists at the London 2012 Olympics, it's a truly spectacular event for all involved. The Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 100 finishes on The Mall in central London, shortly before 150 professional cyclists race in the Prudential RideLondon-Surrey Classic on a similar route.

The 2019 Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 100 will take place on Sunday 4 August.

Fragile X Society charity ballot places

We are proud and excited to announce that we have been awarded two charity ballot places for the 2019 RideLondon-Surrey 100 Race. We have now allocated these and will keep you up to date with the progress of our amazing cyclists!

Do you have your own ballot place in the 2019 Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 100?

A plea to those of you who were lucky enough to secure a ballot place in the 2019 Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 100; firstly, congratulations on securing your place and secondly, please do consider cycling and raising sponsorship for the Fragile X Society. We would be so grateful and would be proud to have you on board. Please also spread the word to any cycling friends, family or colleagues who may be interested in supporting us.

What we can offer…

We will support you with a personalised Fragile X Society micro fibre breathable vest or T shirt, along with our standard charity T shirt to wear whilst you are training and hopefully inspiring sponsorship.  We will also help you with fundraising materials, tips and ideas, as well as access to our dedicated on-line fundraising platforms.

Why support the Fragile X Society?

We receive no Government funding and so rely entirely on voluntary donations from events such as this, so your sponsorship, no matter how big or small, will mean so much.

Any funds you are able to raise will go direct to the cause, with no bond fees for us to pay as this would be through your own secured ballot place so every penny really will make a difference.

Media considerations

We are proud when our supporters go that ‘extra mile’ and running the RideLondon race certainly ticks that box.  With that in mind we would want to share your story through news stories and photos on various media including our web pages, newsletters and social media and so would ask if you would be kind enough to give your consent and sign our media release document.  This will be shared with you when you inform us of your wish to run to support us.

Want to support us? What to do next

If you would like to use your ballot place to run for the Fragile X Society, please let us know as soon as possible so we can work with you, to decide what support you might need re training and fundraising.  Please contact us on fundraising@fragilex.org.uk

And finally, please spread the word.  We badly need own ballot place cyclists and would be so grateful to anyone who may be able to support us in this amazing event.

Thank you and good luck!
