Schools Fundraising

Our schools fundraising programme is another way that you can help the Fragile X community. There are many ways you and your school can support the Fragile X Society by fundraising and we promise, we will do everything we can to not only make it a success, but to make it a fun learning experience for students.

Are you looking for a fundraising project, management experience or a year to year or team to team challenge for students? Our schools fundraising programmes are completely flexible meaning we can adjust to your school’s needs and provide as much or little help as you need.

We can adapt challenges to suit Citizenship classes and the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme so please do contact us to discuss how we can mutually support each other.

Schools Fundraising Ideas

Here are a few ideas to kick-start your school’s fundraising activities:

  • A sponsored bad hair day, (for teachers as well as students!)

  • A sponsored non-uniform day

  • A lunchtime cake sale

  • A sponsored silence

  • Organise an independent fundraising event – we can help support you with ideas, guidance and fundraising materials

  • Teachers bring their baby photos and students pay to ‘guess who’, with a prize for the most correct guesses

  • A tabletop sale at lunch time

  • A craft stall at the school summer or Christmas fete

  • A collection held at your Sports Day event and/or a refreshment stall

Read our blog of fundraising stories to inspire you with some ideas on how you could support us.
