This leaflet gives a brief description of FXTAS, a neurological condition which affects some premutation carriers of the Fragile X gene.

This leaflet gives a brief description of FXPOI, a condition where women have decreased or abnormal ovarian function. The condition affects some female premutation carriers of the Fragile X gene.

Carrier Status Effects

A precis of a talk given by Professor Turk at Fragile X Society’s yearly annual conference, during which he examined the potential developmental and psychological difficulties of Fragile X pre-mutation carriers, including the differences seen between male and female carriers.
